WEB DESIGN FAQ
How much does a website typically cost?
That really all depends. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components; we design and develop custom websites specifically for your brand and business. We’ll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the $1,000 – $3,000 range, but can be more or less depending on needs.
How long does it take to get a new website?
On average, we shoot for a two to four week turnaround, but the pace of any project is set by each client. How much input you can provide during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready – all this affects the speed of completion. The functionality needs may also play a role – more complex sites will take more time to develop.
Do you only create WIX websites?
Yes, mainly for the reasons that it is cost effective for you the client and has proven just as powerful as any other web design strategy. Wix provides a world-class platform to over 150 million users in 190 countries, and is a leader in website creation, due to its design capabilities, ever-exanding app integration market and business streamlining services. I choose to use Wix over other design methods or programs as the business integration services are unparelled and by far the easiest for business owners to understand and use. At the end of the design process, we want you to be able to control and perform minor updates to your own website or store as you wish using the simple yet powerful API (back-office) and not be at the mercy of your designer for minor changes to your site. I have used many other website design methods and programs, yet I always go back to Wix. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you how to manage it and help you along the way.
Do I need to be local to work with you?
Nope! We work with clients all over the world as all of our services can be offered and accessed online, through email or over the phone.
Will I be able to update the site myself when it is finished?
Yes! We love it when our clients take control of their website and learn to manage it on their own. We’ll provide you with a set of comprehensive video tutorials to help you learn your way around, as well provide you with a training session to help get you on your way.
Will you maintain my site for me?
We can! We provide on-going support and business consultation for many of our clients at an additional hourly or monthly rate.
Will my site be mobile friendly?
Absolutely! Having a mobile responsive website is more important than ever! We work hard to ensure your website looks great on a variety of devices.
When do I pay?
We offer a variety of payment options, varying from a one-time, up-front payment to four automated monthly payments. We understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible.
How much input do I have in the process?
A lot! Your input and feedback is crucial to this process. We’ll start with a lot of questions about your needs, your likes, your wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.
Who writes the content for the site?
Usually that is you. You are the expert on your business, so it’s usually best if it comes from you. If you need help, we have a copywriter on our team who can help clean up or write original content for you at an additional cost.
I am just starting out, do you have any low cost options?
A custom website can be a big investment and not all small businesses have the budget just yet. We offer a basic web design with minimal features, which will help get you online with a nice looking website fast. Check out our base rates here.
What if I need help on my site in the future?
We are only an email away! We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need, and we won’t disappear once the site is launched. We’ve been doing this for 10 years, so we aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Other designers I have spoken to use HTML, CSS or Wordpress to design their sites, why don't you?
Many web designers choose to use HTML/CSS, Java and/or Wordpress. These systems are common in the web design industry because they allow the designer to have complete "creative control" over the systems they are designing. However, they require a lot of time to not only build the site, but to integrate functional and industry selective API's into them. These are all costs that are passed on to you as the client. This is why many web design companies out there can charge as much as $15,000+ for a website design. And what's more? If you are not versed in HTML, CSS and/or Wordpress, you are going to be paying your designer additional charges for any minor changes you want to make to your site moving forward.
